You can advocate for voting as a tactic without being an apologist for atrocity and waiving away countless people’s trauma and deaths as “sure the candidate’s not perfect.” I don’t know why I need to say this but there it is.

It’s so manipulative and condescending to tell victims & their families they’re asking for “perfection” like they’re traumatized because their standards are too high rather than because someone violently dehumanized them.

Someone directly orchestrating trauma in more lives than you could cognitively understand isn’t a “mistake” or “problematic”— it’s atrocity. Stop being an apologist for this shit.
