I know most of us are struggling right now, because life in the United States as a poor person is hell, but even though Texas is reopening I’m still going to be out of work. Which on one hand I’m thankful for because it’s safer, but on the other hand I am devastatingly poor.

My rent and other utilities haven’t been put on hold, I didn’t qualify for the stimulus check, and my unemployment application still has yet to process. The relief program through my work never actually paid me anything, and they have been withholding my paychecks.

I’m a woman, I’m bisexual, I’m half Native American, and I’m scared. If you can spare me anything, I’d really appreciate it. But if you can’t, please don’t feel guilty. We’re all struggling, but I just don’t know what else to do.
